제목 Preparation of Syndiotactic Poly(vinyl alcohol)/Poly(vinyl pivalate/ vinyl acetate) Microspheres with Radiopacity Using Suspension Copolymerization and saponification
초록 Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is extensively used for selective embolization of vascular lesions due to its good biocompatibility, few foreign-body reactions in vivo, high blocking efficiency by good binding property, and ease of treatment. Radiopacity is very important characteristics for the minute positing control of embolic materials in blood vessel. If embolic materials have proper radiopacity, their localization in and progress through the blood vessel can be more effective. To make Poly(vinyl pivalate/vinyl acetate) [P(VPi/VAc)] microspheres with radiopacity, many radiopaque materials, such as TiO2, Ti, Ag, Au and Pt were added into P(VPi/VAc) microspheres. The suspension copolymerization approach in the presence of aqueous radiopaque nanoparticles was used. After, s-PVA/P(VPi/VAc)/nanoparticles microspheres were prepared through the heterogeneous surface saponification of P(VPi/VAc)/ nanoparticles microspheres.
