제목 Magnetite-loaded MPEG-Poly(β-amino ester) Micelles as Potential Magnetic Resonance Imaging Probes
초록 Magnetic nanoparticles of Fe3O4 encapsulated in MPEG-Poly(β-amino ester) micelles were prepared by a pH-induced molecular self-assembly method for magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents. Firstly, iron oxides were prepared by the alkaline co-precipitation of ferric and ferrous salts with different weight fractions of MPEG-Poly(β-amino ester) copolymer in anaerobic conditions at room temperature. Then dried Fe3O4-coated thin polymer and MPEG-PAE were dispersed in aqueous solution at PH 4.0 using ultrasonic bath for 10min. The black-brown solution was adjusted from PH 4.0 to PH 8.0 and the particle size with different PH values was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS). The micelle size is nearly 200nm. The micellization mechanism was explored with the increase of PH values. As a result, magnetite-coated MPEG-PAE micelles displaying stability in aqueous solution at PH 7.4 were considered as a potential MRI probe for in vivo diagnosis.
