Effects of clay nanoparticles on the rheological and morphological properties of nylon 6 were investigated. The dispersion state of nanoparticle was identified by FE-SEM image, and TEM image. The thermal properties of nanocomposites were measured by DSC in nitrogen atmosphere. The rheological properties of nylon 6 nanocomposite were measured by ARES. The nanocomposites exhibited Higher storage and loss moduli and dynamic viscosity than neat nylon 6 during dynamic frequency sweep measurement. To investigate the time-dependence, a programmed time sweep experiment was carried out by repeating the following procedure 3 times; 10 min of measurement followed by 10 min relaxation. All nanocomposites exhibited time-dependent rheological responses under low shear rate of 0.5 rad/s which was indicative of the formation of physical structures. |
