Polypropylene/Hot-Compressed Water-treated Bamboo Fiber Composite and its characterization |

The effect of hot-compressed water (HCW) treatment of bamboo fiber (BF) on the properties of PP/BF composite was investigated. Water-soluble fraction of 9.2 to 23.5 wt% was extracted, depending on the temperature of HCW treatment. Master batch composite of PP/BF (50/50) with and without 5% maleic anhydride-grafted PP was first prepared and diluted with neat PP to the composites with 70/30 and 90/10 composition. MAPP was used to improve interfacial adhesion. HCW treatment and the addition of MAPP were effective to improve tensile properties of the composites. The composites diluted from 50/50 composite with additional PP also showed the improved tensile property. Crystallization temperature and enthalpy were higher in the composite with HCW-treated BF than in the composite with raw BF. 본 연구는 산림청 ‘산림과학기술개발사업(과제번호 : S211313L010110)’의 지원에 의하여 이루어진 것임. |
