제목 Synthesis of PAN and PAN-Si nanoparticle by aqueous suspension polymerization method: effect of sonication
초록 Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and PAN-Si nanoparticles were synthesized by aqueous suspension polymerization method under ultrasonic treatment. Itaconic acid (IA) and α, α’-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) were used as comonomer and initiator at 60 °C. XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, TGA and EDX techniques were employed to study structural features and chemical composition of the synthesized nanoparticle. XRD and FTIR spectra confirmed the formation of PAN nanoparticles and presence of Si in PAN nanoparticles. The characteristic functional groups (including C≡N, C=O, CH2) present in the FTIR spectra of PAN polymer indicated copolymerization reaction of AN and IA. This is further confirmed by EDX spectra. The size of particle was decreased by ultrasonication of the PAN and PAN-Si nanoparticles which was confirmed by ZETA-Potential and Particle size Analyzer.
