제목 Size and Ag ion reduction degree controlled synthesis of Ag/SiO2nanoparticle for antibacterial property.
초록 The immobilized Ag nanoparticle on SiO2nanoparticle of 30~40 nm in diameter was prepared. The surface of SiO2 nanoparticle was functionalized with thiol groups by using the surface modification with (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane. The formation of Ag-S chemical bonds improves stability of Ag nanoparticle without aggregation. The size and reduction degree of Ag ion to Ag nanoparticle on the SiO2 nanoparticle was observed depending on the concentration of ammonium hydroxide from the TEM and ISE measurement. High concentration of ammonium hydroxide enhanced Ag nanoparticle growth. The Ag/SiO2 nanoparticle showed antibacterial properties against both the Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli, and the Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, in the influence of Ag which has prevented cell death, even with a low concentration of silver precursor.
