제목 Real-time monitoring of the PU foam reaction processwith the new FTIR-ATR technique
초록 A new FTIR-ATR technique is designed to carry out the real-time monitoring of the PU foam reaction process. With this method the chemical process of the PU foam reactions have been tested at various reaction temperatures (room temperature, 40oC, 55oC, 70oC). It was found that this new FTIR-ATR method was quite useful to observe the dynamic reaction process during the PU foam process. The dynamic formation of the urethane linkage has been measured by observing the OH group and isocyanate group absorbances. By in-situ measurement of the evolution of the CO2 gas to create the open and closed cell structure, it was possible to evaluate the cell structure of the hard and soft PU foams.
