Preparation and characterization of photoreactive chitosan derivative for medical applications |

To stabilize and increase half-life of bioactive compounds especially based on protein such as growth factors in organisms, immobilization of bioactive compounds is one of the effective ways.A photo-reactive chitosan derivative having azido phenyl group was synthesized to immobilize bioactive compounds.The Synthesized chitosan derivative was characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy.To confirm biocompatibility, MTT assay and cell (COS7) culture were carried out.The released rate of protein from the chitosan derivative was measured using albumin instead of growth factors for check on effect of the chitosan derivative. |
