제목 Bulk heterojunction morphology control via binary processing additives in polymer solar cells
초록 In polymer solar cells (PSCs), morphology control of photo-active layer based on bulk heterojunction (BHJ) is crucial factor to decide device performance. To control morphology of active layer, introduction of solvent additives is very effective and one of the simplest method. We report the effect of binary additives on polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on bulk heterojunction (BHJ) system. The combination of high-boiling and selective solvent of 1,8-diiodooctane (DIO) for fullerene derivatives and the nonvolatile insulator additive affords complementary functions on effective modulation of BHJ morphology. DIO suppressed large separation of PBDTTT-CF and PCBM and insulating additive induced the continuous path way of PBDTTT-CF by phase separation. As a result, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) can be further enhanced to 7.6% with improving fill factor (FF) from 6.8% of conventional device employing only DIO additive system.
