제목 Bifunctional Photorefractive Material and its Holographic Application (Ι)
초록 The photorefractive effect refers to the spatial modulation of the refractive index of materials due to the light-induced redistribution of charge. Since its first discovery in 1990, organic photorefractive materials have been studied extensively due to their advantages for applications in the fields of optical data storage and information processing. Among the many organic photorefractive materials reported to date, host-guest systems based on photoconducting polymer doped with nonlinear optical chromophore exhibits the most promising properties. However, host-guest systems often suffer from a low phase stability.
In this work, we prepared an amorphous bifunctional molecule possessing both photoconducting and nonlinear optical property. The sample was prepared from the mixture of the bifunctional molecule, plasticizer and photosensitizer. The photorefractivity of the sample was compared with that of host-guest system based on photoconducting polymer doped with chromophore. The application of photorefractive bifunctional molecule as a holographic recording medium was evaluated by recording and reading of the holographic image.
