제목 Preparation of RO membrane with modification of active layer for antifouling and chlorine resistance
초록 Membrane fouling constitutes a major obstacle to the application of membrane-based techniques such as reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) in the production of drinking water and in the recovery of wastewater. Membranes with hydrophobic surfaces are particularly susceptible to organic fouling. The RO membrane is improved fouling resistance to surface modification by hydrophilic functional group. This study is very effective in understanding fouling behaviors of the reverse osmosis membranes which were the thin film composite type of polyamide. A measurement of the fouling tendency can be obtained by performing 'fouling tests'. The membrane treated with casein on running state shows a flux decline performance of polyamide membrane.
