제목 Fabrication of microfluidic device for the study of in-situ drug loading/release behavior on graphene oxide encapsulated hydrogel bead
초록 The in vitro microfluidic devices have been developed recently to mimic human body for drug delivery applications. Here we report the fabrication of microfluidic channel and its drug encapsulation/release studies using hydrogel beads at various concentrations of graphene oxide (GO) such as 10 µg GO, 25 µg GO and 50 µg GO and with control hydrogel bead (pH 6.3) of the risedronate (Ris) drug solution. The flowery and rod shaped beads showed rapid drug release for 10 µg GO. The controlled drug release profile for higher concentration of 50 µg GO were studied. The in vitro cell studies in the microfluidic channel using MC3T3 cells proliferated with better increment condition with GO-hydrogel system continuously. The proliferative potential of MC3T3 cells by MTT and live/dead assays showed similar results. Therefore, the hydrogel bead with various concentration of GO and various pH in the microchannel could be a promising device for controlled drug release.
