Optimal Design of Plasma Reforming-based Hydrogen Production Process using Landfill Gas |
초록 |
This work assesses the production of rich H2 gas through plasma-enhanced reforming of landfill gas (LFG). This process gives some advantages, such as compatibility for a broad range of fuels, decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, fast ignition and startup, use of non-renewable resources, and compactness. However, inert gases present in LFG result in a different process configuration compared to conventional steam reforming-based H2 production processes. To guarantee the desired quality and production capacity of H2 while maximizing the energy efficiency, we optimize the design of the overall process using a process simulator Aspen Plus. |
