제목 Origin of Shape-Dependent Polarized Emission from CdSe Nanoplatelets
초록 In this study, we report the shape-dependence of linearly polarized emission from colloidal CdSe nanoplatelets (NPLs). We controlled morphology of NPLs by varying the ratio of precursor, acetate hydrate salt, which triggers 2D growth of NPLs. With the same thickenss, lateral aspect ratio of NPLs is controlled from 1.2 to 4.5. From measurement of fluorescence polarization, we revealed that elongated NPLs with higher lateral aspect ratio exhibit strong polarized emission. In order to identify the origin of the shape dependence of optical anisotropy, we measured emission and absorption polarization separately with NPLs aligned by electric field. As a result, only absorption polarization depends on the lateral aspect ratio, while the emission polarization stays nearly unchanged regardless of shape anisotropy of NPLs. Based on the theoretical study, we suggested that anisotropic local field effect is a primary denominator of shape-dependent polarized emission in CdSe NPLs.
