제목 Nanostructured carbon electrodes prepared by carbonization of multiwall carbon nanotube grafted polyimide for electrochemical double layer capacitor
초록 Electrochemical double layer capacitor (EDLC), also called supercapacitor, has attracted much research interests due to its high power density. Many kinds of nanostructured carbon materials have been studied as electrode materials for EDLC to achieve higher electrochemical performances. In this work, polyimide was grafted with different amounts of multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNT) by in situ polymerization method to get well dispersed MWNTs in polyimide matrix without phase separation. The MWNT grafted polymer composites were coated on the surface of carbon cloth and carbonized at various temperature conditions under inert atmosphere. The morphologies of the as-prepared nanostructured carbon materials were studied by using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge measurements were made to study the electrochemical energy storage performances of the nanostructured carbon materials as EDLC electrodes.
