Synthesis and characterization of polyimide membrane containing imidazole ring for PEMFC. |

In this work, to synthesize new membrane for PEMFC (Polymer electrolyte membrane Fuel Cell), new benzimidazole diamine (4-((1H-benzoimidazol- 2-ylimino)methyl l)benzoic acid, BYMB) with a two-step procedure was synthesized and completed to make a polyimide membrane doped with phosphoric acid (H3PO4). The characteristics of polyimide electrolyte membrane containing benzimidazole doped with phosporic acid (H3PO4) in the structural repeat unit have been investigated as a function of the temperature and the molar composition of phosphoric acid (H3PO4). The conductivity depending on temperature, the acid content of phosphoric acid (H3PO4), temperature and relative humidity(RH) was impedence analyzer (Autolab Impedance Analyzer). We founded that the conductivity was relative to the doping ratio of phosphoric acid (H3PO4), temperature and relative humidity. |
