Ion beam-induced graft polymerization of acrylic acid on a hydrophobic polymer surface for a covalent immobilization of biomolecules |
초록 |
A hydrophobic polymer surface was selectively activated by a 150 keV Ar ion irradiation up to 1 x 1016 ions/cm2 to generate the peroxide or hydrogen peroxide on the surface. The graft polymerization of acrylic acid onto the irradiated area was carried out under such various conditions as the fluence, monomer concentration and grafting time. After a patterned graft polymerization, DNA/protein immobilization was carried out on selectively grafted PTFE. The grafted surface was characterized by using FT-IR, XPS, and contact angle analysis. The patterns of the DNA/protein on the grafted PTFE was observed by fluorescence microscopy. |
