Carbon nanomaterial-containing hybrid materials have attracted increasing attention recently. Here we describe graphene-containing supramolecular gels, completed by noncovalent functionalization of cyclodextrin derivatives. These gels were prepared by a simple solid grinding procedure using an inclusion complex of azo dye and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), in the presence and absence of lithium salts. Their gelation behaviors were addressed by various characterization techniques, including SEM, TEM, XPS, UV-VIS-NIR, TGA, CV and RAMAN spectroscopies. Such carbon nanomaterial hydrogels exhibit peculiar mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties, as noted, which will find useful in a wide variety of applications. |
