Polymers were widely used in the optics industry as matrix containing relatively high refractive index inorganic fillers, resulting in transparent materials, more practically useful materials with thinner thickness. This research introduces a novel photo-curable pyrimidine-based acrylate monomers containing aromatic group or aliphatic groups with sulfur atom, such as of diphenylacrylate sulfanyl-methylthio-pyrimidine (DPASMTP) and trisphenylacrylate-sulfanyl-pyrimidine (TPASP) were designed and synthesized for optical applications. The pyrimidine-based polymer matrix PTPASP was synthesized with different ZrA nanoparticles contents by interfacial interaction. PTPASP/ZrA(20wt%) showed high refractive index(1.68 at 637 nm) and high transmittance (81.6 % at 450 nm) |
