제목 Enhanced Emission and Two-Photon Absorption Cross-Section by Nanoaggregation of Cyano Substituted Stilbene Derivative
초록 Currently, organic molecules with large two-photon absorption (TPA) are of considerable interest because of their potential applications for electronics and photonics. This study reports the synthesis and the investigation of optical behaviors of a stilbene derivative, (Z)-2,3-bis[4-(N-4-(diphenylamino)styryl)phenyl]acrylonitrile (StCN). A TPA dye, StCN was obtained by the Heck reaction. Nanoaggregates of StCN in 50 % water volume fraction have exhibited the increased fluorescence intensity and a blue shift in emission maximum wavelength. This enhancement can be attributed to the formation of J-type aggregates. A strong bathochromic solvatochromism in the emission spectrum is indicative of a large dipole moment of StCN. Also, TPA cross-section of nanoaggregates has been obtained an enhancement of 1.5 times compared to that in DMF solution at the maximum wavelength.
