제목 | Reactive oxygen species-responsive nanophotosensitizers for photodynamic treatment of oral carcinoma cells |
초록 | PDT has been extensively investigated for cancer treatment becausephotosensitizers generate ROS. Traditionalphotosensitizers are freely dispersed in the whole body because they have no specificityagainst tumor. Then, we synthesized phenyl boronic acid pinacol ester(PBAP)-conjugated chitosan using thioketal group (ChitoPBAP) for ROS-sensitivedelivery of Ce6. Ce6-incorporated nanophotosensitizers (Ce6-ChitoPBAP NP) were evaluated with AT84 oral cancercells. Ce6-ChitoPBAP NP has spherical morphology and showed ROS-sensitiverelease behavior of Ce6. Ce6-ChitoPBAP NP resulted in increased Ce6 uptakeratio, ROS production and phototoxicity against AT84 cells. At in vivoanimal tumor imaging study, Ce6-ChitoPBAP NP efficiently targeted solid tumorof AT84-bearing mice.
