제목 Plasma Surface Treatment of Polycaprolactone Nanofiber for Initial Adhesion and Proliferation of Preosteoblast Cell
초록 Electrospinning has been recognized as an effective method to process polymer solution or melt, mainly of polymers, into continuous fibers in high electric fields. Polycaprolactone (PCL) has been used for the reconstruction of various tissues and several advantages including its biocompatibility, low cost and easy process-ability. However, being a synthetic biomaterial, PCL has hydrophobic surface and lacks functional groups making it inappropriate substrate for cell adhesion. Surface treatment techniques, such as plasma treatment, ion sputtering, oxidation and corona discharge, affect the chemical and physical properties of the surface layer without significantly changing the bulk material pro¬perties. The aim of this study is to evaluate the preosteoblast cell (MC3T3-E1) attachment and proliferation on plasma treatment PCL nanofibers. The plasma treated samples were improved the wettability and cell viability. (The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (No. R13-2008-010-00000-0)).
