제목 Metal nanoparticles stabilized by pH sensitive PEO-based block copolymers
초록 Synthesis of water-soluble block copolymers exhibiting pH-responsive phase transition behaviors was carried out via transformation reaction. n-Butyllithium-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide was first performed in the mixture of benzene and DMSO at 40 ℃, followed by chain-end functionalization using proper electrophiles. Among them, the PEO-based macroinitiator was converted into RAFT (reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer) agent carrying a dithioester group. Using the RAFT agent and AIBN, RAFT radical polymerization of sulfadimethoxinyl methacrylamide (SDMA) and N-phenylmaleimide (N-PMI) was successfully performed in toluene at 90 ℃ for 6 h. Deimidation of N-PMI unit was carried out in the resulting poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(SDMA -co- MAc). The resulting pH sensitive block copolymer was used as a polymer stabilizer for preparation of metal oxide nanoparticles such as ZnO or Fe3O4. All the results for these experiments will be presented.
