Engineering therapeutic anti-SARS-CoV2 antibodies for enhanced efficacy, reduced adverse effects, and prolonged serum half-lives |
초록 |
Antibody therapeutics with extraordinary high target specificity and low side effects compared to small-molecular chemical drugs can provide an effective means for the treatment of new emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19. In this presentation, I will briefly introduce various antibody discovery methods and directed evolution strategies to improve the functions of antibodies. And then, I will present our two recent works, i) isolation of human antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 using human naïve immune antibody library and ii) molecular evolution of SARS-CoV specific antibodies to SARS-CoV2 specific antibodies. In addition, a variety of techniques to modulate effector functions and circulating half-lives of anti-viral therapeutic antibodies that have been recently developed in our laboratory will be discussed. |
