제목 Air Gasification Characteristics of Rice Husk in a Fludized Bed Reactor for Energy and Silicone Production
초록 Rice is a majoragricultural product with annular production of 4 million tons in Korea, 470million tons in the world. The annual production of rice husk in the world amounts to more than 120 milliontons. Rice husk can be utilized for the biomass gasification feedstock and can be used for silicone production from its high ash content upto 20%. The ricehusk ash contains more than 95 % of amorphous silica which can be used formanufacture of ceramics, solar grade silicon, cosmetic powder and secondarybattery anode material. In this study, therice husk gasifier (5kg/h) is developed using a fluidized bed process for theproduction of silicon for the secondary battery anode materials as well asenergy production. The gasification performance such as product gascomposition, carbon conversion, gas yield, and heating value of the productgases are analyzed. The maximum heating value of the product gas was found tobe 4,500 kJ/m3. The silica compound after rice husk gasification wasreduced into high purity porous silica.
