This flat displays containing matrix panel usually employ ITO attached on glass substrates as transparent electrode. However, the practical application of ITO into flexible displays has been limited in spite of its excellent qualities such as high conductance, transparency, and productivity This is because ITO film is brittle and form crack easily under strained environment. Moreover, organic transparent films show better affinity toward plastic substrate than ITO films. Therefore, it is challenging, but interesting for researchers from all research fields to replace ITO with transparent organic electrode. Herein, it is described a versatile and simple approach to produce a transparent conducting carbon film with several nanometers in thickness. We fabricated transparent carbon film through efficient carbonization method, although it is extremely difficult to obtain transparent carbon film. In addition, we prepared a nano-patterned conducting carbon film by NIL and compared the performance of the patterned carbon film with that of flat carbon film. |
