Synthetic strategy to generate color selectivity with a thin film polymer photodiode: difulorobenzothiadiazole based Donor-Acceptor polymer with enhanced space charge carriers |
초록 |
A synthesis approach that enhances charge-accumulation of polymer photodiodes enables well-defined color selectivity to be achieved in thin film thicknesses less than 1 µm, an important requirement for organic image sensor. A polymer photodiode (PPD) not only renders color selectivity but also a high peak detectivity of ~6×1012 Jones at 650 nm. It is implying that charge collection narrowing (CCN) mechanism is operated, which is extraordinary because typical spectral response of ~500-nm-thick bulk heterojunction (BHJ)-based PPD is equal to the absorption spectrum of the BHJ film. We infer the origin of such a thin film CCN in POFPhDT2FBT:PCBM BHJ as a weakened ICT between donor and acceptor of POFPhDT2FBT, which results in near-isotropic molecular orientation with short range π-π ordering. As a results of space charge carrier, in the case of POFPhDT2FBT, CCN mechanism can be realized within 1 µm. This study shows the feasibility of realizing color selectivity less than 1 µm, which can achieve color selectivity in thin film and contribute organic image sensor in the near future. |
