Fabrication and characterization of hydrogel films containing oxyfluorinated multi-walled carbon nanotubes with improved conductivity |

The hydrogel films containing oxyfluorinated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) for using transdermal drug delivery (TDD) were prepared by freeze-thawing process. MWCNT was used to increase the conductivity of hydrogel films and to strengthen the hydrogel films. Oxyfluorination of MWCNT was performed in order to disperse MWCNT well in the hydrogel matrix. The morphology of hydrogel films was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The conductivity of hydrogel films was evaluated with surface resistance meter. Mechanical strength was measured by tension tester. The release behavior of hydrogel films was investigated by using diffusion cell. The dispersion of MWCNTs in the hydrogel matrix was improved by the surface modification through direct oxyfluorination which gave the polar groups on MWCNTs. |
