Effect of oxyfluorination on electromagnetic interference shielding properties of polyaniline-coated multi-walled carbon nanotubes |

Highly conducting polyaniline/multi-walled carbon nanotube nanocomposites were prepared by in situ polymerization for the electromagnetic interference shielding materials. Polyaniline was uniformly coated on multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The thickness of the polyaniline coatings was controlled by changing the oxyfluorination condition of multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The nanocomposites showed the significant increases in permittivity, permeability, and electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency. The electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency of nanocomposites increased up to 33 dB mainly base on the absorption and reflection mechanism. |
