Colored materials, so-called dyes and pigments have been considered as materials with better potentials in application of optoelectronics due to their high extent of absorbance in visible wavelength region. Among them, many dye molecules such as diketopyrrolopyrrole and isoindigo or polymer bearing them have demonstrated their potential in electronic and optoelectronics devices. However, dioxazine-based pigment have not been in trial for electronics application yet due to its poor solubility. Therefore, in order to enhance solubility, we designed and synthesized dioxazine derivative with branched alkyl chains attached as side chain in this study. Physical properties were investigated utilizing thermal analysis, absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. Moreover, electronic properties were measured by fabricating thin film transistor devices. |
