제목 Studies on the proton selectivities of various cation-exchanged zeolite/Nafion composite membranes for DMFC
초록 Zeolite/Nafion composite membranes utilizing Nafion® as the ion conducting matrix and Ca2+, Sn2+, and La3+ forms of large pored mordenite and highly siliceous medium pored ZSM-5 as the inorganic filler were fabricated using solution casting method. In case of medium-pored ZSM-5/Nafion composite membrane, the effect of cation type on proton conductivity and methanol permeability was not significant, and both proton conductivity and methanol permeability decreased with zeolite contents due to the steric effect arisen from the restricted pore size of ZSM-5 and blocking ability of ZSM-5 crystals against proton conduction and methanol permeation.
