Electrochemical characteristics of SiO2-TiO2-MWCNT composite as anode material for Li-ion battery |

Recently, a lot of research on electric car and ESS has been being conducted to utilize an energy efficiently due to environmental regulations. The electrochemical reaction of a cell is based on the redox reaction in an anode and a cathode. The easy flow of electrons between the anode and the cathode can determine the driving force magnitude of the cell, and thus the performance of the battery can be improved adding CNT with high electrical conductivity. A graphite currently used as an anode material has a high coulombic efficiency but a low theoretical capacity. Therefore, in this study, we prepared SiO2-TiO2-MWCNT composites and analyzed electrochemical properties of half coin-cells. We analyzed crystalline and structure by XRD and Raman. Also, measured charge/discharge performance at 0.1C using battery test system. Finally, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance were investigated using potentiostat/EIS system. |
