Effects of hybridization of alendronate with chitosan on the responses of osteoblastic cell |
초록 |
The human life span is rapidly increasing thanks to the dramatic progress in biotechnology. Bone is one of the most important tissues required for sustaining healthy life. However, bone-related diseases continue to increase due to various environmental factors in modern society. Various types of polymers are used to replace damaged bone tissues. Among them, chitosan is known to have excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. In this study, we prepared chitosan/alendronate hybrid composites for the improvement of bone regeneration. Physical and chemical properties of the composites examined using various analytical instruments, including SEM, EDX, and FTIR. The biocompatibility of the composites were evaluated in terms of viability of osteoblast. |
