제목 | Mechanical Property of Acrylic Bone Cement through Controlling of Particle Size and Molecular Weight |
초록 | Acrylic-based bone cements are widely used in dentistry and orthopedic surgery.1 Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA), as a standard, is used to fill the gap between the prosthesis and the surrounding bone in cemented arthroplasties.2 Acrylic bone cement PMMA bead size is important for bone cement because it affects the properties of the dough stage of the bone cement, such as viscosity and flow. And PMMA molecular weight is affects the properties of bone cement. In this study, mechanical property was investigated according to size distribution and molecular weight of PMMA. Figure 1.
