The effect of carbon fiber content on mechannicla peoperties of glass fiber composites based thermoplastic |
초록 |
The aim of this study was to understand the mechanical properties in terms of woven fiber reinforced thermoplastic(WFT) prepregs based on the combination of carbon fiber and glass fiber. The tensile and flexural properties of WFT prepregs which were woven of continuous unidirectional tapes using LOTTE CHEMCIAL’s special impregnation process have been investigated. The prepreg samples were prepared by press molding and the test spacemen were cut from the prepreg. Tensile and flexural tests were carried out. Plain, twill, and satin woven patterns were tested and the tensile property of the prepreg having plain pattern was the highest. In addition, the content of carbon and glass fiber was controlled in order to understand hybrid effect of woven carbon and glass fiber based prepregs. |
