Drug-incorporated Reinforced Chitosan/Collagen Complex Scaffold for the Improvement of Bioactivity |
초록 |
An intelligent system to build 3D scaffold as a bone graft can be achieved by incorporating bioactive agents, which deliver drugs to the desired location while avoiding systemic side effects. Among various materials, biodegradable organic materials which can satisfy the prerequisites, i.e. biocompatibility and biodegradability are preferentially considered. In this study, we investigated a feasibility whether the bioactivity of the chitosan (CHN) scaffold could be improved by combining collagen (COL). We investigated whether the degradation and drug release pattern were modulated by COL combination. In addition, we also evaluated the effects of the COL combination on the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast. Current results illustrated that the biological functionality of CHN scaffold can be considerably improved by the combination of COL. |
