초록 In the last few years, antiferromagnetic (AF) bilayers based on permalloy (Py) have attracted considerable attention, partly because of their application to the high-density magnetic memory devices. Despite the efforts to explain the observed features of these systems, the magnetic properties near the surface have not been reported yet. The surface anisotropy for Py/PyO bilayer samples, which were prepared by dc magnetron sputtering on Si wafers, was characterized by Brillouin light scattering (BLS).By studying the dependence of spin-wave frequency on the angle of light incidence and on the applied magnetic field and by comparing with the approach proposed by Stamps and Hillebrands[1], the magnetic parameters as well as both in-plane and out-of-plane surface anisotropy for the Py/PyO samples was determined. The surface anisotropy of sample is compared with that of a Py single layer with the similar thickness. The magnetic hysteresis characteristics were derived from the sign reversal of the spin-wave frequency with the cycles of external field, and are consistent with that of the magneto-optic-Kerr-effect (MOKE) measurement.
