Photoluminescence of La1-xAlO3:xEu phosphors synthesized by the solution combustion method for LED application |

The aluminate phosphor is useful in display and lighting industry. The photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of the La1-xAlO3:xEu (0.02≤x≤0.12) phosphors synthesized by the solution combustion method for LED application were investigated. The fabricated phosphors had a fully crystalline phase with the rombohedral structure. The characteristic PL peaks caused by the 5D0 → 7F1 and 5D0 → 7F2 transitions of Eu3+ were observed at 592 nm and 618 nm, respectively. The PL intensity depended strongly on the Eu3+ content. In this work, we discussed the crystal structure, microstructure, and PL properties of the La1-xAlO3:xEu, depending on the Eu3+ content. |
