Micropore-dominant carbon electrodes show relatively poor electrochemical performances due to poor wettability of electrodes by electrolytes. Hierarchically porous carbon materials have been suggested to address these issues because they provides interconnected paths for charge transport. Here we report new hierarchically porous carbon electrodes for use in high performance SC electrodes, based on polymers of intrinsic microporositiy(PIM) derivative, PIM-EA-TB which is prepared using ethanoeanthracene(EA), involving Tröger base(TB) linkage formation through a nonsolvent-indueced phase separation(NIPS). PIM-EA-TB has hierarchically porous structure with large surface area 1966 m2 g-1 due to the mseo, macropores introduced by the NIPS and a high electrical conductivity of 83.6 S cm-1 and such structure offers a path for facile charge transport so that it shows a high specific capacitance of 46 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 and a high specific energy of 17 Wh kg-1 at a specific power of 1 kW kg-1. |
