Aminescan be prepared byreductive amination of corresponding aldehydes with ammonia. By this way, various useful mono- and di-amines suchas furfurylamin, benzylamine, and an isomer mixture of 1,3- and1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane has been prepared. We have performedthe reductive amination of 2,5-diformylfuran (DFF), toprepare 2,5-bis(aminomethyl)furan (BAF) – an useful monomer in the production of polyamides, polyureathanes, etc. The reaction pathway,catalyst properties as well as reaction parameters have been described in thereductive amination of DFF. |
