Gellan gum (GG) was separated into high acyl gellan gum (HAGG) and low acyl gellan gum (LAGG) according to the presence of the acyl. HAGG has a flexible and smooth shape because it has a low mechanical strength. So, HAGG and LAGG were mixed to improve mechanical strength of HAGG. To evaluate the physical properties and cell growth of mixed GG, FT-IR, compressive strength, SEM, MTT, histological evaluation and specific mRNA expression were evaluated. As a result, it was confirmed that physical properties were improved with increase of LAGG content. However, the higher ratio of LAGG is, the lower cell proliferation and extra cellular matrix (ECM) secretion are. Therefore, the study is confirmed that the proper ratio of mixed GG has a good effect on physical properties and tissue regeneration.
