제목 Synthesis of phosphorus-containing methacrylate-type flame retardant: Comparison of additive-type and reactive-type approach
초록 By incorporating a flame retardant compound to polymer, it can self-extinguish and prevent the spread of fire. Flame retarding system is classified by the introducing method; additive- and reactive-type. To evaluate the flame retardancy according to introducing type, a phosphorus-containing methacrylate-type flame retardant, 2-[(diphenoxyphosphoryl)oxy]ethyl methacrylate (DPPEMA), was synthesized. DPPEMA was used as additive-type flame retardant in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), polystyrene (PS) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN). In comparison with additive type, the copolymerization of DPPEMA and other monomers such as methyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile was performed to apply to reactive-type system. The comparison of flame retardant mechanism of two-type introducing methods was investigated by TGA and TG-IR.
