제목 Enhancing the Light Utilization in Organic Photovoltaics
초록 The activation of semiconductor polymer as well as the number of electrons produced in semiconductor layer is one of the most critical factors to induce high efficiency of organic solar cells (OSCs). In this presentation, we demonstrate concepts 1) to make a better use of solar light by increasing the absorption in the range of near-infrared (NIR) light and 2) to exploit the energy transfer effectively between components which are distributed in OSCs by coupling lanthanide ion-based upconverters and noble metal nanostructures to sensitize semiconductor polymer efficiently. Plasmon-enhanced photoluminescence properties of upconverters under NIR irradiation were demonstrated and the energy transfer between semiconductor polymer-upconverter-noble metals was systematically investigated.
