Synthesis of graphene-coated copper nanoparticles for flexile printing devices |

Graphene coated Cu electrodes which are composed of Cu nanoparticles are studied for preventing oxidation of the Cu electrodes and therefore application to printing electrodes for flexible devices. Various size of copper nano particles are synthesized using polyol process. This process concerns with the reduction of metal salts by polyol liquid such as ethylene glycol and glycerol, which acts as both reducing agent and solvent. The reaction is carried out in the mixture of the metallic salts, solvents, alkalines and surfactants. The size of copper nano particles are controlled by heating ratios during reaction process. The particle size is inversely proportional to the heating ratio. Further results are discussed including the properties of graphene coated Cu electrodes and their analysis using SEM, XRD, EDS, etc. |
