제목 Prospects of Elastomer Nanocomposites
초록 Elastomers are an important class of polymers and desired properties of them for wide applications are easily attained by modification of chemical structure, composition, or processing condition. We present nanocomposition of elastomers and synergetic effect by introduction of nano scale inorganic fillers. Elastomers in this study include block copolymers of styrene and butadiene (SBS, BSB, and SB) or random copolymers of butadiene (SBR, NBR) and their blends.

Our approach to a general synthesis of dispersed nanocomposites focuses on the synthesis of a modified polymers and inorganic fillers by inorganophiles and organophiles, respectively, to improve interaction between the organic and inorganic component. The elastomer nanocomposites showed high transparency to visible light, plus improved thermomechanical properties, Effects of inorganic nanofillers on the enhancement of thermomechanical and optical properties, loci of fillers in the nanocomposite and application potential will be discussed in detail.
