제목 An improvement of grinding efficiency and energy consumption for nano-porous silica using non-cooling air jet milling system
초록 Nano porous silica for commercial usage is required high grade particle size distribution and its characteristics and production cost is emphasized that it is most important factor to manufacture and apply nano porous silica for many industries. It is possible to reduce particle size 8.23um(d50, Microsizer 3000 Malvern) using Cooling Air Jet Mill System(C-AJMS) and 2.3kg/hr with 37KWH energy consumption. This study shows high efficiency and energy saving compare to existing system using Non-Cooling Air Jet Milling System(NC-AJMS) with high temperature(150℃) and pressure(7bar) to generate supersonic speed(Mach 2.5, 839m/sec) for grinding nozzle. With this improvement, finally particle size is reduced 2.6um and saved energy consumption approximately 30%. This study suggest that NC-AJMS is able to improve grinding efficiency and saving energy consumption effectively of nano porous silica for various industries.
