제목 Characteristics of β-hydroxyalkylamide as crosslinker masked by 2-ethylhexanoic acid
초록 The surface defects such as pinholes are enlarged by increasing the thickness of films while the powder coatings get ready as a thick film. So the way to reduce pinholes is masking. Masking method for the hydroxy group of hydroxyalkylamide is covered by acids. The materials of hardener was been synthesized from the reaction of dimethyl adipate with diethanol amine and it dissolved in a mixture of hydroquinone and benzoic acid. After that, p-toluene sulphonic acid was dropped as a catalyst. In the end of this dropping process, the hydroxy group of beta hydroxyalkylamides was prepared by 2-ethylhexanoic acid. The treated cross linker which is masked by acid can decreases the number of pinholes when the powder coatings convert to a film, because a masking procedure disturbs out of gases. Therefore, we studied the synthesis of beta hydroxyalkilamide which was masked by 2-ethylhexanoic acid and researched their characteristics.
