We have presented enhanced inverted PLEDs and PSCs with various interfacial treatments such as self-assembled dipole molecules (SADMs), ionic liquid molecules (ILMs), conjugated polyelectrolyte (CPE) and polar solvents. They are deposited on ZnO surface, and show different characteristics. In iPSCs, decreased energy barrier between ZnO and polymer active layer contribute to enhanced charge separation and Jsc, which was confirmed by EQE data. Additionally, the improved film compatibility leads to the reduced contact resistance between ZnO and polymer. Thus the fill-factor is dramatically improved. The performance of iPLEDs also shows enhanced results with interfacial treatments. All of the interfacial modified devices exhibited significantly decreased turn-on voltage, higher luminance and series of efficiencies than that of reference iPLEDs because of reduced energy barrier and enhanced film compatibility between ZnO and polymer emissive layer but also improved hole blocking property. |
