p-Phenylenediamine(PPD) is used for ropes, cables, bulletproofing and protection, automobiles, and raw and composite materials in the aerospace field. In addition, it is a high value-added material use in various industrials fields. A variety of production methods have been studied in order to produce PPD. In this study, PPD was synthesized from p-Diiodobenzene(PDIB) using supercritical ammonia. CuI catalyst was used for reaction. In order to examine the effect of various variables on PPD production efficiency, this study investigated the reaction pressure and time according to ammonia injection amount and changes in the PPD yield associated with changes in catalytic amount and reaction temperature through GC analysis. The binding properties of amine group and structure of PPD were confirmed by FT-IR and H-NMR analyses. |
