제목 Colored PS particles through dispersion polymerization in scCO2 (One step process)
초록 Colored polymer microparticles of uniform size find use in a wide variety of applications, including xerography, printing, cell labeling, and biological studies. A dispersion polymerization is one in which the monomer and initiator are soluble in the reaction medium, while the polymer formed is insoluble. A polymeric surfactant is used to sterically stabilize nucleated polymer particles and prevent flocculation and precipitation of the reaction product. Monodisperse or nearly monodisperse latex particles can be produced with diameters ranging from submicrons to tens of microns. In this study, colored PS particles were prepared by the dispersion polymerization in scCO2 in the presence of Monasil-PCA as stabilizer.
